Girkan State Reserve
The Girkan State Reserve was established in 1936. They are very mountainous regions, and are protected.
Background
The reserve of Girkan protects the wet subtropical landscapes from the area of Lenkoran and the Talysh mounts, sheltering many individual plants. It was creates in December 1936. Its surface is 2.976 ha. The visitor will seek there in particular several endemic subspecies of birds, of which the Caspian Titmouse (Appeared lugubris hyrcanus), subspecies of the lugubrious Titmouse. The Pheasant of Colchide subspecies of the mounts Talysh (Phasianus colchicus talischensis) there is common.
The majority of the protected areas are the natural complexes of lowland and low mountainous forest areas of the Lenkoran region, including the well preserved planning of lower forest, the ecosystem of rare forests of the Girkan style.
In 1989 in the Girkan reserve of Lenkoran 150 deers were registered. ("Azadlig")
