Girl is the third studio album by Australian pop–dance singer Dannii Minogue. It was released by Eternal Records on September 8, 1997 worldwide. Girl marked a major turning point for Minogue, transforming her previous bubblegum pop beginnings into a more mature and sophisticated dance-oriented sound that would influence her music in the years ahead. It received a positive reception from music critics but became one of Minogue's least-successful album releases, reaching number fifty-seven in the United Kingdom, and sixty-nine in Australia. Minogue released the album to an exclusive launch party at London's Kemia Bar at Momo, performing songs from the album as well as older hits.
