Gladiator Records

Gladiator Records is an independent Hip Hop record label based in St. Paul, MN. The label was started in June of 2000. The first global exposure for two of the labels artists Cool Tra Sebek and DJ Double (aka StoneKutter) was on the compilation LP "Dust Static and Plastic". This record was produced by Josh Virgin aka Hidden Rhythm and released by UK based Eye Q Records in 1999. Next came the Butter Beat #6-Fractal Acrobats 12" vinyl single. This was released in 2000 on Butter Beat Records, a label founded by Josh Virgin and Freddy Fresh. On this 12" is the debut of Gladiator Champions, with the track "Seventh Angel", produced by DJ Big Reece and written by Cool Tra Sebek.

Cool Tra Sebek also appeared on the song No Compromise with Abdul Wahid, Brown Mug, and Ray the Crippler. The bonus track was the turntablist cut by DJ Double. Gladiator Records first release was the Universal Dialect 12" vinyl single in the summer of 2001. This release also contains Convicted Felon by Gladiator Champions. The bonus track is Fluid Music by the group Fluid, written by Mixillscrips (MSP), produced by Gregory Romero, with cuts by DJ Double. This record is the precursor to the Gladiator Champions full length LP English Lesson C1, released in the fall of 2002. Our roster currently consists of four acts- Gladiator Champions, OSP, Shima, and Fluid.
