AGC Flat Glass Europe (formerly Glaverbel) wants you to see things clearly. The company is a subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company, the world's #1 glass producer. Through 18 plants located throughout Europe, the company makes float, coated, laminated, and patterned glass along with mirrors, fire resistant glass, and special use glass through three divisions: Architecture and Design, Marine Glazing, and Thin Glass (for touch screens, mirrors, computer discs, and microscope slides). Its subsidiary, AGC Automotive Europe, makes automotive glass. Glaverbel was founded in 1961 by the combination of Belgian glass makers Glaver and Univerbel.
