Biography

British-native Glen Cornick was born in 1947. He began playing bass at age 16. He started playing with various unknown groups, eventually moving on to the John Evan Band in 1966. When that group broke apart, Cornick stayed with fellow member Ian Anderson, moving through various lineups and band names until they became Jethro Tull. He stayed with Tull from their beginnings in 1968 to 1970, recording three albums with them. Essentially being fired from the group, Cornick formed his own band called Wild Turkey. That group recorded on Chrysalis Records and did some touring, opening for various groups. Eventually he formed the group Paris with former Fleetwood Mac man Bob Welch. He remained with that group until 1977. Cornick left the music business for quite some time, but has since re-formed Wild Turkey, releasing another album with that group. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
