Glen Murakami has worked on several television programs, most notably for the DC Animated Universe. He began working with Bruce Timm on Batman: The Animated Series designing characters, expanding his role to art director on Superman: The Animated Series and producer on Batman Beyond and Justice League. He served as producer on Teen Titans and The Batman and functioned as the primary creative force on Teen Titans.
Mr. Murakami approached both shows with an unusual design style, setting them apart from the rest of DC Comics animated programing. The show's style is sometimes called Murakanime by fans. It is also better known by the style called "Americanime".
Murakami is also featured on many commentaries and interviews in the special features sections of DCAU DVDs.
