Godolphin Racing operates a thoroughbred horse racing stable in Dubai and England. The stable takes its name from the Godolphin Arabian.
The organisation, whose first full year of operation was in 1994, is based in both Dubai and Newmarket, United Kingdom, and was set up by Dubai's ruling family, the Maktoums, with Sheikh Mohammed the driving force behind the operation. He also owns the Darley Stud breeding operation.
Horses are wintered in Dubai, then sent each April to Godolphin's UK-based Godolphin Stables, which is the former Stanley House Stables, built in 1903 by Frederick Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby.
Godolphin registered its 100th Group/Grade One win with Sulamani in the 2003 Arlington Million.
