Virgin foot-holder of Math ap Mathonwy, daughter of Pebin, described as the ‘fairest maid of the land and time’. When Goewin confesses that Gilfaethwy has raped her, Math marries her to save her from shame and thus makes her his queen.

Goewin is a figure in Welsh mythology.

Math fab Mathonwy's foot-holder, she was raped by Gilfaethwy. Learning that she was no longer a virgin, Math punished Gilfaethwy and his accomplice Gwydion, and married Goewin himself.
