Review

Bobby Marchan gained a reputation as lead vocalist for Huey "Piano" Smith and as a popular female impersonator around the Crescent City. He also had a few minor hits under his own name in the early '60s, including "There's Something on Your Mind." Most listeners will want to investigate Marchan's material further than this 12-track Collectables compilation allows. The discs to search for are Clown Jewels: The Ace Masters 1956-75 and Smith's Having a Good Time on Edsel. ~ Al Campbell, All Music Guide
