Gondomar (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡõduˈmaɾ]) is a city and a municipality located in the east of Portugal's Porto Metropolitan Area. The city has a population of 25,717[1] and the municipality, which has 12 parishes, has 163,574. Other important cities in the Gondomar municipality are Rio Tinto and Valbom. Gondomar's mayor is Valentim Loureiro.
Gondomar is well known for its jewelry industry.
