Gonzaga is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 140 km southeast of Milan and about 25 km south of Mantua. As of 31 December 2004[update], it had a population of 8,591 and an area of 49.8 km².[1]
The municipality of Gonzaga contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Palidano and Bondeno.
Gonzaga borders the following municipalities: Luzzara, Moglia, Pegognaga, Reggiolo, Suzzara.
