Good-bye, My Lady

Wikipedia: Good-bye, My Lady (film)

Good-bye, My Lady is a 1956 American film adaptation of the novel Good-bye, My Lady by James H. Street. Directed by William A. Wellman, it starred Sidney Poitier. An old man and a boy are united by the love of a dog.

In the movie the kennel agent calls the dog "Blue" the call name Skeeter had guessed from the lost dog's name (not Isis).

Phil Harris (Cash) is the voice of Baloo in the movie "The Jungle Book".

Many people who got basenjis were first strongly affected by either the story, the novel, or the movie.
