Good Scouts

  • Director: Jack King
  • Release Year: 1938

Plot

In Yellowstone National Park, Scoutmaster Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie march up, down, and around "The Devil's Stewpot." Finding a suitable camping place, the boys set about cutting down trees, with Donald causing great injury to his person when he attempts to chop down a petrified tree. Later attempts at knot-tying and tent-pitching are no more successful, and the boys have a great time laughing at Donald's ineptitue. To get even, Don pretends to be seriously injured, only to become the recipient of the boys' overenthusiastic first-aid efforts. Topping off an imperfect day are a remarkably active geyser called "Old Reliable" and an extremely surly bear. Good Scouts was nominated for an Academy Award. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
