Saints: Goran

Goran (Goron, Gorran), patron of Gorran (Cornwall). Probably identical with the hermit Vuron (Wron), who lived at Bodmin and departed ‘to a place about a day's journey south and ended his days there’ after Petroc arrived at Bodmin. The reason for his departure is unknown. At Gorran the cave and well believed to be his survive. Feast: 7 April.
