Graduand refers to the status of an undergraduate student in the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, or West Indies who has finished their studies at University, but not yet graduated in a formal ceremony.
After the ceremony, the Graduand, becomes a Graduate.
Graduation
Graduation ceremonies are lavish events, usually held in the University's main hall or in a cathedral or town hall in the city where the University is based.
Traditions
Graduands walk in separate from their tutors, and walk out with their tutors to show that they have been accepted as part of the peer group.
