Biography

Grasshopper was the alias of guitarist and songwriter Sean Mackowiak, best known for his work in the acclaimed noise-pop band Mercury Rev as well as a frequent guest contributor to records from Luna, St. Johnny and others. In 1998 he teamed with fellow Rev member Suzanne Thorpe to record the solo effort The Orbit of Eternal Grace, credited to Grasshopper and the Golden Crickets. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
