Liason's 1995 greatest-hits release for Rare Essence compiles many of the 12" and album mixes that were anthems on the Washington, D.C., go-go circuit throughout the '80s. Their over-the-top, high-intensity live shows had the reputation of being some of the most energetic performances on the circuit -- featuring extended workouts, audience call and response, and variations on signature tunes. Opening with their most well-known release, "Body Moves," and working through many a crowd favorite, this compilation serves as a wonderful introduction to those not only unfamiliar with Rare Essence, but those wholly uninitiated to the go-go sound. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide
