Wine Lover's Companion: Greco di Tufo DOC

[GREH-koh dee TOO-foh] doc area located east of Naples in Italy's campania region that includes the vineyards encompassing the village of Tufo. Greco di Tufo wine is made primarily from the greco grape, which is thought to have originated in Greece and is quite popular in this region. In addition to the dry white wine produced, there is a spumante version that may be made.
