Biography

Furia Musical award-winning Grupo Cañaveral was formed in January of 1995 by ex-Corraleros de Majagual Humberto Pabón Olivares and journalist/radio announcer Agustín Teutli Delgado. Playing a Colombian Cumbia-inflected style, Grupo Cañaveral became a top-selling outfit after achieving three gold records in 1998. In addition, the Mexican band became involved in the Latin soap opera scene while playing a role in Siempre Te Amare, which starred Laura Flores and Fernando Carrillo. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
