Plot

Amanda Plummer stars as an unorthodox substitute teacher in Gryphon. Assigned to an inner-city classroom, Amanda tries to shake her pupils out of their apathy through her storytelling skills. She manages to "reach" Ricky (Alexis Cruz), the classroom's most contentious student. Unfortunately, Ricky is subjected to peer pressure when he displays an eagerness to learn more about life outside his own neighborhood.
