Gurwitch Products produces, manages and markets Laura Mercier Cosmetics, a global brand of high-end cosmetics, skincare and body and bath. Launched in 1996 and based in Houston, Texas, the Laura Mercier line is available in over 650 doors in 24 countries.
Gurwitch is majority-owned by Alticor, while Janet Gurwitch remains CEO of the company, replacing co-founder Gary Kusin who has moved on to become the CEO of Kinko's. Annual sales approach $120 million.
Gurwitch Products acquired RéVive Skincare, a premium skincare line, and related assets from Bays-Brown Laboratories, on May 1, 2008. The original ReVive Skincare boutique in Louisville, KY still operates from the former HQ site of Bays-Brown Laboratories and is now known as Bays Boutique.
