Hachette Book Group USA (formerly Time Warner Book Group) goes by the book. The company is home to book publisher Little, Brown and hardcover, mass market, and trade paperback publisher Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books). Other divisions include FaithWords (religious books) and Center Street (for readers in America's heartland). The company's best sellers have included books by James Patterson (Lifeguard), Malcolm Gladwell (The Tipping Point), and Jon Stewart and the Daily Show writers (America). Previously housed under media giant Time Warner's Time Inc. unit, Lagardère acquired Time Warner Book Group in 2006 and changed its name to Hachette Book Group USA.

Hachette Book Group USA (HBG) is a publishing company owned by Hachette Livre, the largest publishing company in France. It was formed when Hachette Livre purchased the Time Warner Book Group from Time Warner on March 31, 2006.

Notable authors include Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, David Baldacci, Sidney Sheldon, Nelson DeMille, Jon Stewart and the writers of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, Rick Moody, David Foster Wallace, Tucker Carlson, Lou Dobbs, Robert Kiyosaki (author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series) and Michael Connelly.

Under the terms of Hachette Livre's acquisition, HBG is able to use the Warner Books moniker through 2011, although HBG is not itself affiliated with Time Warner. Because of this, HBG announced on March 26, 2007, that Warner Books had been renamed Grand Central Publishing. The company already uses a number of imprints across its publishing divisions:
