Hainford (originally Haynford) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 6.94 km2 (2.68 sq mi) and had a population of 951 in 365 households as of the 2001 census.[1] For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Broadland.
It is situated just off the A140 road to Cromer, next to Horsham St Faith and not far[weasel words] from Hevingham.
The Chequers pub was the victim of a fire in 1987[citation needed] in which a fireman lost his life.
Hainford Hall, an old, abandoned house, is said to be haunted.[citation needed]
