Plot

Harry Carey is a reluctant foster father in this three-reel Western. After a stage robbery, Burk (Carey) and his gang are being chased by the sheriff (Bill Gettinger) and his posse. One of Burk's men, Bill (Vester Pegg), is fatally shot, and they take him to a little shack. A young man (Ted Brooks) comes around looking for Bill, who is his father. Bill begs Burk to take care of the Kid, and to never let him know that his dad was an outlaw. Bill dies, and Burk and the Kid head for a mining camp. The Kid is attracted to a lady known as the "Desert Vampire" (Claire DuBrey), and pursues her in spite of Burk's efforts to keep him away. The Kid also becomes curious about the Daisy May Mine. Burk skirts the issue, because the gold he has was stolen from the mine by Bill. The Desert Vamp finds out about the gold and manages to get it from the Kid. The mine's real owner calls the sheriff and they confront the confused Kid. Burk shows up and forces the Desert Vamp to give the gold to the mine's owner. Then he and the Kid escape into the Western wilderness. ~ Janiss Garza, Rovi
