Halloween Strategy

 
 

Stock investment strategy based on the historical fact that most capital gains (80 percent by some estimates) occur between October 31 and May 1. An investor using the Halloween indicator, as it is also called, would be Fully Invested for that six-month period and out of the stock market for the other six months of the year, theoretically enjoying the major part of an annual return with half the Exposure.
