Hanyang

• Location: Hubei/China

The first syllable comes from Hàn, the Chinese people, the Han, and the second, yáng 'sun'. It lies to the north, the sunny side, of the Han River. It is one of the three cities that make up the conurbation of Wuhan: Hanyang, Hankou, and Wuchang.
