Edgerton "Ed" Hartwell, II (born May 27, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is an American football linebacker, free agent and businessman. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Western Illinois.
Hartwell has also been a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals and Oakland Raiders.

Early years
Hartwell attended Cheyenne High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada and was a letterman in football, basketball, and track. In football, he was a USA Today All-USA honorable mention selection as a senior.
Professional career
Baltimore Ravens
Hartwell was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played for the Ravens from 2001 to 2004. He never missed a game, though he was limited to special teams in 2001. He finished his career with the Ravens with 337 tackles, six sacks and one interception.
Atlanta Falcons
After the 2004 season Hartwell became a free agent, and was signed to a six-year $26.25 million contract by the Atlanta Falcons.[1] He spent two injury plagued seasons for the Falcons before being released on March 2, 2007. He played in only 13 games recording 63 tackles and one sack.
Cincinnati Bengals
On May 3, 2007, Hartwell signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he was released on September 1 following the preseason and spent the rest of the year out of football.
Oakland Raiders
Hartwell signed with the Oakland Raiders on May 2, 2008. He was released by the team on August 13 after the team signed punter Glenn Pakulak
Personal life
Ed married Lisa Wu-Hartwell of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on December 31,2005[2]. They had a formal ceremony on May 20,2006 at The Verandas in Santa Monica, California. Their son Ed Jr was born in 2007[2]. Lisa also has sons Jordan(1995)and Justin(1998) with ex-husband Keith Sweat[3] [4].
He is also featured on The Real Housewives of Atlanta that follows the life of the couple. They have several aspiring businesses such as a real estate firm, a jewelry line[5], a t shirt line, and a baby clothes line.
