Harvey Rosen is the current mayor of the city of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
His father, Harry, started Kingston's oil company Rosen Fuels.
He was elected the 94th Mayor of the City of Kingston on November 10, 2003, and re-elected for a four-year term on November 13, 2006, by a slim margin of 731 votes, winning over runner-up candidate and councillor Rick Downes.
Rosen's political career began with election to the council for the former Kingston Township in 1994 and to the Board of Control of the newly amalgamated City of Kingston in 1997. He is also past president of Kingston's Beth Israel Congregation and is involved in the operation of Rosen Corporation Ltd., a family business.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from York University in Toronto, and a Bachelor of Law degree from Queen's University in Kingston. He was called to the Bar in 1977.
Born in Kingston, Rosen has two sons, Zachary and Tyler, and is married to Sharon Monson of Ottawa, Ontario. Rosen is of Polish Jewish background. His grandparents were originally from Krakow, Poland.
