Veteran pop arranger and composer Artie Butler enlisted jazz up-and-comers including Herbie Hancock and Ron Carter for his A&M debut Have You Met Miss Jones?, a collection of bossa nova-inspired grooves wonderfully emblematic of the label's signature sunkissed sound. Employing an arsenal of now-vintage keyboards including the Ondioline, Butler creates a series of idiosyncratic yet gingerly funky arrangements that percolate with narcotic energy.
