Hazel Hannan; former Member of the House of Keys was the Deputy Speaker of the House of Keys and a former Education and DAFF Minister of the Isle of Man Government. She was defeated in an unprecedented and crushing landslide election result in 2006 general election by Tim Crookall MHK. [Manx Radio] exit polls had the incumbent Mrs. Hannan displaying an initial lead, only to lose to what was ultimately a better co-ordinated and organised campaign.
