This is not an answer!

I am merely elaborating on the question, since it wouldn't allow me to write past the question mark..

I need a display that can be mounted on the head for a project.

It doesn't need to be of particularly high resolution, it can even be B/W.

My only requirement is that it can be powered by 12V or less and will accept composite, s-video or VGA input.

I am capable of salvaging it from a piece of electronics and/or doing minor circuitry rework/addition.
