1. (Tippett: King Priam). Baritone. Eldest son of King Priam and Queen Hecuba, brother of Paris. Fighting in the Trojan War, Hector kills Patroclus, Achilles' friend, and Achilles avenges his friend's death by killing Hector. Created (1962) by Victor Godfrey.
2. (Berlioz: Les Troyens). Bass. The Ghost of Hector. Son of King Priam, killed in the Trojan War. His ghost urges Aeneas to found a new Troy in Italy. Creator (1890) not traced.
