Henriette Paalzow

Paalzow, Henriette (Berlin, 1788-1847, Berlin), née Wach, married a Major Paalzow in 1816. The marriage was dissolved in 1821. She wrote historical novels, which her contemporaries compared with those of Sir Walter Scott. Her principal novels (each of 3 vols.) are Godwie-Castle (1838), St. Roche (1839), Thomas Thurnau (1843), and Jakob van der Rees (1844).
