Burnell, Henry (fl. 1640), author of Landgartha (1639), a tragicomedy in verse produced at Werburgh Street Theatre. Based on material from Saxo Grammaticus, the prologue and epilogue are spoken by an Irish Amazon. Burnell was of a Leinster Anglo-Norman family, and a member of the Confederation of Kilkenny (1642).
