Henry, Duke of Parma
Henry I (Italian: Enrico I, Duca di Parma e Piacenza; 1873 – November 16, 1939). Titular Duke of Parma 1907-1939.
Biography
Prince Enrico was born the second but eldest surviving son of Robert I, Duke of Parma and his first wife, Princess Maria Pia of the Two Sicilies. He was mentally retarded, and from 1907 (his father's death), his brother Elias took up the role as head of the family and served as regent throughout his and his brother Joseph's titular reigns, although Enrico continued to be considered by monarchists as Henry I of Parma. Enrico died umarried and without issue, and was succeeded as titular Duke of Parma by his brother Joseph upon his death.
