Biography
As a production designer, Herman Zimmerman seems to have specialized in working in the Star Trek oeuvre, having participated in determining the look of three Star Trek features, the series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Before becoming involved with art direction and production design, Zimmerman, who holds a B.A. and an M.A. in drama, had been an associate professor of drama at Northwestern University. On television, Zimmerman has worked on several series, including Sons and Daughters, Cheers, and Webster, and on television movies like So Proudly We Hail (1990) and The Burning Bed (1985). ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
