Biography

As a production designer, Herman Zimmerman seems to have specialized in working in the Star Trek oeuvre, having participated in determining the look of three Star Trek features, the series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Before becoming involved with art direction and production design, Zimmerman, who holds a B.A. and an M.A. in drama, had been an associate professor of drama at Northwestern University.
