Biography
German art director Hermann Warm was an important figure in the expressionist movement of the 1920s. A native of Berlin, he entered the German film industry in 1912 after working on-stage for a while. In addition to designing sets in Germany, Warm has also worked elsewhere in Europe with such filmmakers as Dreyer. During WWII, Warm lived in Switzerland.
