Herzog von Bayern Albrecht IV
Albrecht IV, Herzog von Bayern (Munich, 1447-1508, Munich), also known as Albrecht der Weise, acceded to the dukedom on his father's death in 1460, reigning for the next seven years jointly with his brother. In his forty-eight years of rule he materially strengthened the dynasty. He was receptive to the arts and literature and was the patron for whom Ulrich Füetrer wrote Das Buch der Abenteuer.
