Title Original Airdate Episode #
"Day of the Dumpster" August 28, 1993 1
When two astronauts come across a strange dumpster on the moon, they accidentally release Rita Repulsa and her minions: Goldar, Squatt, Baboo, and Finister. Rita then sets her eyes on the nearest planet: Earth. Meanwhile, at Ernie's Juice Bar in Angel Grove, California, we are introduced to Jason, Billy, Kimberly, Trini, and Zack, as well as Bulk and Skull, whose advantages are spurred by Kimberly and Trini. Within the California desert, at the Command Center, Zordon and Alpha are alerted to Rita's escape and teleports "five teens with attitude" to the Command Center. After receiving their Morphers, the five teens reject Zordon's offer to fight the forces of evil. It is then with Rita launches her attack with the Putty Patrol. After being defeated the five teens morph into the Power Rangers and take the fight with the Putties and Goldar to the city, where they proceed to fight a giant Goldar with the Megazord. After Goldar's retreat, the ranger teens agree to fight Rita and accepts the three rules of being the Power Rangers.
"High Five" September 7, 1993 2
After seeing Jason climb a rope at Ernie's Juice Bar, Trini reveals to the other ranger teens that she is terrified of heights. Bulk and Skull show up taunting Jason, though Bulk tries to climb the rope and brings part of the ceiling down. Meanwhile, Billy creates wrist communicators with which the rangers can contact the Command Center and Zordon. On the moon, Rita decides to trap the rangers in a time warp the same way she did Zordon. Squatt and Baboo send a rigged toy rocket to Earth that activates the time warp. Rita has Finster create the zombie like Bones monster to control the time warp. The rangers are first alerted to a small group of Putties forming outside of town. Zordon sends the teens to defeat them, and they decide to follow Zordon's advice and try to defeat the Putty Patrol without morphing. During the fight, Billy gets chased to the top of a cliff, and Trini must face her fears to go up and save him. She does, and the rangers are able to send the putties running away in defeat. Bones is sent down to draw the rangers out by attacking an amusement park. The rangers morph to confront him but are sucked into the time warp. As they fight Bones, Squatt and Baboo arrive to destroy the toy rocket, which sits in the time warp as the only means of escape. The rangers defeat Bones by throwing his head into a lava pit, and despite the fact that the plan was to trap the rangers in the time warp, Rita decides to send a Giant to Earth to shatter the time warp and attack the rangers on Earth. Jason summons his Tyrannosaurus Dinozord and manages to destroy the Giant. Back at Ernie's Juice Bar, the rangers and Zordon (via communicator) congratulate Trini on conquering her fears. The episode ends in comedic and fun fashion when Zack, wearing an ape mask, spooked Trini and climbed the rope proving that she overcame her fear of heights.
"Teamwork" September 8, 1993 3
Kimberly and Trini attempt to close down a hazardous waste dump. They're able to get enough signatures, despite some rude behavior by Bulk and Skull. They ask Jason, Billy, and Zack to come with them, though the three are busy. Jason has a karate class to teach, Billy is president of the Science Club and Alpha needs Zack to help him with an undisclosed job. The girls decide they'll have to take the signatures to the dump alone. On the moon, Rita reveals that she is behind the dump, as she hopes to destroy the Earth with pollution. She lures Trini and Kimberly for an ambush, and the two rangers are attacked by the Putty Patrol. At the Command Center, Zack is teaching Alpha dance moves when Zordon realizes the girls are being attacked. He summons Jason and Billy to the Command Center, but before they can help Trini and Kim, Rita unleashes the powerful Mighty Minotaur onto Earth. Jason, Zack, and Billy are forced to morph and confront the Minotaur first. He proves to be an overwhelming opponent, and Rita decides to use her wand to make him grow. Trini and Kimberly are able to defeat the putties, but before they can help the others, Goldar and more putties attack another area of Angel Grove. The two girls morph and confront him. Eventually, the Mighty Minotaur grows and the rangers summon their Dinozords. Kimberly blasts Goldar and the putties with the Pterodactal Dinozord. The rangers form the Megazord but are unable to defeat the Minotaur. Zordon summons them back to the Command Center. He unveils the Power Weapons to the rangers. Jason wields the Power Sword, Trini the Power Daggers, Billy the Power Lance, Kimberly the Power Bow, and Zack the Power Axe. The rangers teleport out and confront the Minotaur once again, now in normal size. They combine their weapons to form the Power Blaster and destroy him. Back at school, the rangers are pleased to have defeated the Mighty Minotaur and succeeded in getting the waste dump closed down, as well as using their teamwork to clean up the mess in the hall that Bulk and Skull had made earlier.
"A Pressing Engagement" September 9, 1993 4
At the Juice Bar, Jason is trying to break Bulk's benchpressing record, but is unable to do so. He doubts his ability to succeed and fears he will become known as a quitter. The other ranger teens try to comfort him but have mixed success. Kimberly blows a huge bubble the size of her head when Zack comes in on his skateboard and collides with her and it pops on both of them. At the Moon Palace, Rita believes that Jason is not tough without his friends to help him. She decides to isolate Jason from the others and destroy him, and has Finster create the King Sphinx to separate the other rangers from him by using his powerful wings to blow them away. Rita's plan succeeds as King Sphinx and a group of putties attack the Earth. Jason, Kimberly, and Zack rush to face him, but King Sphinx blows the black and pink rangers back to the Juice Bar. He then battles Jason, and the two are quite evenly matched until King Sphinx teleports them to a desert like area. Goldar joins the fray, helping King Sphinx fight Jason. At the Command Center, Zordon summons the rest of the rangers and alerts them to Jason's struggle. Somehow, the desert can't be reached, and the only way to help Jason is to send him their power crystals, which would allow the rangers to teleport to the area. In the desert, Rita has made King Sphinx and Goldar grow. Zordon sends the Power Crystals, which Jason uses to summon the other rangers. They summon their Dinozords, and fight both Goldar and King Sphinx in the Megazord. Eventually they gain the upper hand when they summon the Power Sword, destroying King Sphinx. Goldar retreats, and on the moon, Rita is furious. Back at Ernie's juice bar, Jason is able to break Bulk's benchpressing record. Bulk himself arrives with Skull, claiming he will reclaim his record. Ernie brings out a cake for all to enjoy, which Bulk promptly ends up having his face smashed into when he trips on a weight, ending the episode on a high note.

While Bulk fails miserably at a dance-off with Zack, Rita decides that music is the perfect way to conquer the Rangers. She summons Gnarly Gnome, a garden gnome with a magical accordion, and sends him to Earth. Gnarly Gnome's music hypnotizes some of the girls from the dancing class, and they are lured to a cave. Thankfully, Melissa is unaffected by the spell as she is deaf. She rushes to tell Kimberly, and leads them to the cave. The Rangers and their Zords take on Gnarly Gnome and manage to defeat him. Melissa is hailed as a hero for helping, and rejoins the dancing class with new confidence.

The Rangers morph and prepare to fight, but Goldar, Squatt, Baboo, and more Putties show up. Meanwhile, at Billy's lab, Trini and Alpha discover that the one thing Sylvia is missing is water. Bulk and Skull meanwhile are also raising a few eyebrows as Skull is going round stuffing his face whilst Bulk is acting as Skull's lacky. Jason, Trini and Zack are shocked to find Billy and Kimberly engaged in a blazing row for ruining each other's lives. Kimberly is furious with Billy for making such a hash of her hair and make p whilst Billy is equally incensed with her for blowing up his computer. The two explain to the others what has happened to them and Billy announces that he has to rebuild the machine before he can attempt to reverse the damage it's done. Zordon and Alpha become aware of the Genie's presence on Earth and send the Rangers to investigate. Zack finds the lamp but it's empty. "Return of an Old Friend Part II" March 1, 1994 50
Tommy arrives at the Youth Center, only to find the place empty. He is puzzled to find the Youth Center empty, but he is soon teleported to the Command Center.

The Rangers inform Tommy of the situation, and ask him to retrieve their power coins, as Tommy is their last hope. Zordon energizes his power coin, which enables Tommy's powers to work temporarily, but weakening Zordon's life force in the process.

Before Tommy can get the power coins, he has to battle the Putties and Goldar. Tommy at first had the upper hand on the putties, but as Tommy's powers started to fade, the Putties and Goldar gain the upper hand. Alpha gives Tommy a boost with more of Zordon's energy, weakening Zordon, but the boost is enough for Tommy to rebound against the Putties. Later on in the battle, Tommy's powers again start to fade, but he is able to regain the Dragon Dagger, after receiving a jolt from the force field guarding the dagger and the Power Coins. As soon as he recovers from the shock, he summons the Dragonzord, which battles Goldar and Scorpina, and easily defeats them. With Tommy's powers almost completely drained, he sees a chance to grab the power coins. Just as his powers are about to run out, he reaches through the force field around the power coins, and brings the power coins back to the Command Center. The force field knocked Tommy unconscious, and also restored Tommy's Green Ranger powers to full power.

However, before he was teleported to the Command Center, Zordon's powers were too weak and he disappeared. The other five Power Rangers use their power coins to re-energize Zordon in the same way Zordon re-energized Tommy's powers. The Rangers are able to bring Zordon back to life.

After Goldar and Scorpina had been defeated by the Dragonzord, and lost the power coins, Rita summons the Dramole monster. Zordon informs the Rangers that by defeating the Dramole monster, they would get their parents back. But Dramole would hypnotize all of the Rangers except Kimberly. Meanwhile, the force field from the power coins picks Tommy up and takes him near the control panels. Alpha discovers that Tommy's entire body is electrically charged from the force field. The overload wears off and Tommy wakes up. Alpha informs him that the force field had restored his powers, and gives Tommy his power coin. Tommy morphs, and his appearance broke the spell on Jason, Zack, Trini, and Billy. After the spell is broken, the Rangers are confused, until Kimberly and Zack look up in the sky and see Tommy appear. The rangers are glad to have Tommy back, and with Dramole grown to giant size, Tommy summons the Dragonzord and the other rangers summon their Dinozords. They combine all of the zords along with Titanus, to form Ultrazord, and defeat Dramole. The Rangers' parents are freed, and Tommy agrees to stay with his friends until his powers run out.

Later, at the Youth Center, there is some sort of reunion with the parents and Rangers. Bulk & Skull start a food fight and everyone is in on it, even Mr. Kaplan and Mrs. Applebee. The rangers manage to escape the food fight and laugh while watching it.

Unfortunately, the device malfunctions and to make things worse, the Mutant Rangers and their leader have arrived at the beach. Tommy leaves to work on his homework, leaving his communicator in his locker. The other Rangers arrive at their beach and fight their respective mutant counterparts. Tommy finds his communicator in his locker and is informed about the battle. He morphs into the Green Ranger and joins the fight with Green Mutant Ranger. The Mutant Rangers prove to be too tough for the Power Rangers as they know all of their moves and even used their Power Blaster against them. Zordon teleports them to the Command Center. He gives them new, more powerful weapons and the Rangers rejoin the fight. The two teams are now evenly matched and both form their Power Blasters. The Rangers' blaster overpowers the Mutants' one and the Yellow and Pink Mutant Rangers are thrown into the air by the explosion (and are never seen again). Rita makes the Commander Crayfish and the remaining Rangers grow. The Rangers fight them with their Dinozord Megazord and Dragonzord. Dragonzord fights the Mutant Rangers while the Megazord fights Crayfish. After taking a beating, Crayfish and the mutants combine their powers to fight the zords, and begin to win the fight. However, the Rangers summon Titanus and merge all three zords together forming Ultrazord, allowing them to destroy Crayfish and the Mutant Rangers, to the dismay of Rita. While the Rangers are occupied with the Tengas, Rito secures the Orb of Doom. Tommy attempts to destroy it but cannot penetrate it's energy field. Rito activates the Orb, which reverses time on Earth and turns everyone in the near vicinity (the Rangers plus Bulk, Skull, and Lt. Stone and everyone else at the Carnival) into children. Rita, Rito, Lord Zedd and Goldar then make themselves grow (the only time Rita and Zedd themselves actually grow) and attack. The Ranger children (who still remember being Rangers, unlike when Lord Zedd reversed time) attempt to morph, but their powers do not work with them as children. The show ends (as does the entire series, with Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers following) with the Rangers powerless to stop the large villains.
