Hill-Sachs lesion

A fracture in the shoulder of the posterolateral aspect of the articular surface of the humeral head. It is caused by compression of the head (ball) against the anterior rim of the glenoid fossa (socket). It occurs in about 30% of acute shoulder dislocations and 75% of recurrent dislocations.
