HipVoice is a developer of enterprise push to talk software. The software utilizes VoIP and allows handheld devices to communicate with each other, regardless of carrier or platform.

Technology

Unlike traditional push to talk communications systems, which are essentially digital trunked radio, HipVoice records the entire transmission, then send it using whatever broadband data connection the handset supports to the recipient device or devices. This avoids many of the problems inherent in engineering streaming voice communications over Internet channels, but delays receipt of each transmission until it is complete.
