[Latin, History of the Britons]
Early 9th-century chronicle of British and Welsh history, chapter 56 of which tells of Arthur, ‘dux bellorum’, and his twelve victories. Formerly ascribed to one Nennius, Historia is now seen, thanks to the work of David Dumville, to be a compilation from a number of disparate sources.
