History International HD

History International HD is a 720p high definition simulcast of History International that launched in mid-November 2009. "HI HD will give our avid information-seeking viewers a chance to experience the foremost platform for historical programming about the innovations and technology that have shaped history," said History president and general manager Nancy Dubuc in a statement. "We're thrilled for the network to join History, A&E, BIO, CI, Lifetime and LMN in providing high-quality programming that meets the growing demand for HD content." Noted AETN executive vice president of distribution David Zagin: "HI continues to be one of the fastest-growing cable networks. Distributors continue to demand smart, male-targeted networks like HI HD to bolster their expanding HD lineups. We are excited to offer our seventh AETN network in HD and look forward to partnering with our distributors to successfully market it to their customers." It is available regionally on Time Warner Cable, Brighthouse Networks, and Cox Communications. [1]
