Origin
India is quite a well known country in the field of arts and in 1974 the movie Ek Anek Aur Ekta was released which is considered the first ever animated movie in India.[1][2].After that various other people started of taking animation as a full fledged career in India.
Unlike other countries India started in animation very late. The Indian animation industry today stands at Rs 12 billion, and is projected to grow to Rs 42 billion by 2009. Animation in India is currently riding on two key factors - a large base of highly skilled labour, and low cost of production. While the industry is gaining prominence steadily, several important factors such as the government's role in supporting the animation industry, and producing original content locally.
