Home Improvement is an episode of the MTV animated series Beavis and Butt-Head. It is the third produced episode of the second season.

Synopsis

While watching a Bill Clinton speech on TV, Beavis and Butt-Head each try to think of something to do, but can't because they lack the right tools. Butt-Head then says "I don't like stuff that sucks."

They decide to work for their neighbor Tom Anderson, who hires them to paint the window trims of his house. Beavis then spots a can of paint thinner and they both proceed to sniff the contents. Their work proves disastrous as a result. While stoned from the paint thinner, Beavis also paints Anderson's cat's butt blue.

Anderson is mowing grass, completely oblivious to the chaos that the boys have caused. It is not until he decides to check on the boys and remind them about the paint thinner that he discovers the mess, but Beavis and Butt-Head are not there.

They have stolen Anderson's mower and they cause some more chaos. Back at Anderson's house, he is talking with the police and identifies the suspects as Butthole and Joe. When they ask him what they look like, Anderson tells them "I believe they were oriental". Then it cuts to Beavis and Butt-Head right in the middle of an intersection where they have caused a bad traffic jam.

• This episode contains the disclaimer "BREATHING PAINT THINNER WILL DAMAGE YOUR BRAIN. LOOK WHAT IT'S DONE TO BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD".
• This episode marks the first appearance of Mr. Anderson.
• This episode was banned from rebroadcast due to the boys sniffing paint thinner.
• VHS releases and the first DVD release of Beavis and Butt-Head cut out the paint thinner sniffing scene, as well as the painting of the cat and the fire references. These were all restored on The Mike Judge Collection DVD, although the first segment of the episode was removed.
