Honoré Bouvet
Bouvet, Honoré (erroneously Honoré Bonet) (c.1340/5-c.1410), prior of Selonnet, studied law at Avignon and played a minor role as a French diplomat. His considerable literary output included satirical poetry and polemical tracts, but his lasting importance rests on L'Arbre des batailles (c.1386-90), the most widely read late-medieval French commentary on the laws of war.
