Hospices de Nuits

[aws-PEES du NWEE] A charitable foundation established in 1692 in nuit-saint-georges in burgundy's côte de nuits district. This is a much smaller version of the more prominent and neighboring hospices de beaune. Hospices de Nuits has been endowed with about 22 acres and holds an auction each spring, 2 weeks prior to Easter. Although the Hospices de Nuits auction doesn't elicit the same attention as that of the Hospices de Beaune, it does sell off some very good wines.
