Houston Christian High School is a private college preparatory school in Houston, Texas, United States.
HCHS, which serves grades 9 through 12, is located inside Beltway 8 and outside Interstate 610 in western Houston.
History
In 1998, Northwest Academy (K-12) split into First Baptist Academy and Houston Christian High School. First Baptist Academy moved to a location next to Houston First Baptist Church and Houston Christian remained at the Northwest Academy site until a new school was built off of Beltway 8 (stretches of Beltway 8 are designated as the Sam Houston Tollway).[citation needed]
Before Houston Christian
Students of some private schools, such as Annunciation Orthodox School [1], and John Paul II School, Grace School, and First Baptist Academy (FBA) matriculate to Houston Christian [2].
