Biography

One of American screenwriter Howard J. Green's earliest assignments was the popular Harold Lloyd feature Grandma's Boy (1922). From 1927 to 1929, Green was busiest at fledgling Columbia Pictures, where among many other projects he helped script Frank Capra's The Younger Generation (1928) and The Donovan Affair (1929). In the 1930s, he free-lanced at Columbia, RKO, Fox and Warners. As a producer, Howard J. Green's output included RKO's Sing and Like It (19340 and Columbia's They Met in a Taxi (1936). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
