Howard Collins (born in 1949, Mountain Ash, Wales) is a prominent karate instructor, practitioner and former knockdown karate competitor from Sweden, and a member of the European Karate Organization’s technical committee. He has trained Kyokushin karate for more than 40 years and has the title of Shihan.
Originally from Wales, he traveled to Japan at the age of 21 trained under Masutatsu Oyama for three years.[1] In 1972 Shihan Collins managed to successfully perform the 100-man kumite. Currently, he is the head of the Gothenburg Kyokushin dojo in Sweden. He was awarded the 7th dan in 1993.[1]
